LA-based Director & Photographer
Richard Winkeller began his career in college as a photographer and sketch writer in upstate New York. Since then, he has been ever-fusing those skills to bring a painterly brush to humanist and comedic filmmaking. Known for his light touch with actors, he has collaborated with brands as diverse as Adobe, BuzzBallz, and Samsonite.
As a director and photographer, he brings out the funny in people. Excelling in both narrative and commercial storytelling, his ability to connect with producers and talent to make a piece fun is unmatched.
Ricky, as his friends call him, is currently writing and directing for several comedy YouTube series and sketch channels, which has been invaluable to sharpening his approach and ability to think creatively on the fly. He has most recently directed and executed nationally televised comedic spots for brands ranging from PrizePicks to Amazon to Fox Sports.
